Vietnam is tokenising $4B of infrastructure.

And the World Bank is backing it...

Vietnam's third-largest city is launching plans to tokenise nearly $4B in real-world assets across two flagship infrastructure projects.

- 100km+ expressway linking two airports
- 100km metro line (first phase valued at $3B)

Da Nang is positioning itself as Vietnam's sandbox for fintech, digital assets, and green finance, while Ho Chi Minh City handles traditional capital markets.

If it works, it becomes one of the first times blockchain has been used to fund major public infrastructure at this scale.

The partnership agreements tell the story:

- World Bank for institutional credibility
- Austrian Blockchain Center for fintech
- Victory Securities for digital asset compliance
- SwissCham Asia for investment and innovation

Vietnam needs roads, metros, airports, and logistics hubs to hit high-income status by 2045.

Traditional financing is hitting its limits.

Tokenisation isn't the whole answer. But it opens private markets to a new class of infrastructure deals and gives foreign capital a direct entry point.

Will this become the template for emerging markets?
