I spoke to the CIO of an Omani family office.
They're deploying capital into US multifamily.
Middle Eastern Family Offices typically allocate 15% of their portfolio to real estate, according to UBS.
The ones I usually speak to are looking for opportunities in Dubai, KSA, or London.
This one is focused on US & Central Florida.
- 50–200 unit multifamily acquisitions
- $2M–$10M ticket size, multiple deals per year
- Open to LP positions and direct acquisitions
They will look at global opportunities if the deal makes sense, but the US is the primary focus.
I asked why Florida.
"Population growth. Landlord-friendly legislation. And we understand the market very well"
Most Middle Eastern family offices with US ambitions never get past the research phase - regulatory complexity, structuring, and tax slow everything down.
This one has.
Are you raising capital from the Middle East?
