KKR just closed a record $19.2b infrastructure fund.

This brings its infrastructure equity to $120B.

Global Infrastructure Investors V is now KKR's largest infrastructure fund ever raised, focused on core-plus assets across North America and Western Europe.

- Fund size: $19.2B
- Already committed: $9B+
- Total infrastructure AUM: $120B
- Q2 2026 inflows: $34B, driven by real assets

Three lanes are getting the capital: digital infrastructure, energy and power transition, storage and logistics.

KKR's Raj Agrawal says demand is outpacing supply.

"Anything we can offer up and deliver for the next two, three, four years, it's being snapped up... at premiums."

They're also staying disciplined.

KKR is passing on assets priced at 30x earnings, short 5-7 year contracts, and single-hyperscaler facilities where quality isn't yet rewarded by the market.

This is happening as private infrastructure fundraising hit a record $200-250B globally in 2025.

Public budgets can't cover the multi-trillion-dollar need in power and data centres through 2040, so private capital is stepping in.

Yet, KKR isn't the only one involved.

It also launched Helix Digital Infrastructure in June with NVIDIA, VISTRA, and Kuwait's sovereign fund - over $10B aimed at solving the power bottleneck behind AI data centres.

The mega-funds are pulling further ahead.
